Absolutely great service!!!

We booked the tour 10 days in advance and we were taken from our hotel in Bangkok, escorted through the customs and finallywe arrived in Siem Reap in great comfort.

Then we had 4 great days in Siem Reap, visiting Angkor Wat and numerous temples as well as a few museums, a silk farm and the floating village with our guide Sim Sopheaktra - very knowledgable (has his own book on Khmer temples) flexible & creative with schedule, expert on best photo angles and temple visiting times for better light, also willing to share Cambodian history, customs and daily life. We should also mention our amazing driver who greeted us with fresh cold towels (yes, all came anew from a different batch) and always kept us in good shape.

Finally, we came back to Bangkok with the same level of comfort and ease. We would strongly recommend anyone to book through these guys as they can accomodate all revisions on the itinerary, get discounts from 3rd parties and ensure you are immersed in Cambodia and Khmer civilization without the need to worry on anything else.

Best Way to Tour Angkor Wat

This is a long overdue review of our tour of Angkor Wat with Sophoan Rath in February 2014. Every aspect of our 4-day tour was perfect. He was waiting for us with a smile when we arrived in Siem Reap. We were soon at our hotel. For the next three days he escorted us to most of the main temples, including the requested sunrise and sunset experiences. Also included in our tour was a cruise on Tonle Sap Lake and the floating village. At all times Sophoan was knowledgeable, patient and a pleasure to be with. His English is excellent and his air conditioned vehicle was comfortable and appreciated on the hot and dusty roads of Cambodia. He also made our land return to Bangkok easy and seamless. He drove us to the border, assisted with our luggage and personally handed us off to another driver for the Thailand portion of the return. I cannot recommend his services highly enough! Sophoan is more than just a tour guide. His ability to lend color to the Cambodian experience through his personal story and his willingness to answer questions in an honest and forthright manner made this a truly unforgettable experience!

Day Trip to Angkor Wat from Bangkok

While planning our recent trip to Southeast Asia, we thought that it was going to be extremely difficult to do a day trip to Siem Reap Cambodia from Bangkok to visit Angkor Wat UNESCO World Heritage Site. However, we found about Sophoan and decided to booked a tour with him. The process was very easy and convenient. We paid a deposit of $100 USD via MoneyGram. Communication with Sophoan was great before, during and after the tour. A driver (in an air conditioned luxury van) picked up us at our hotel in Bangkok to take us to the Thailand border with Cambodia at 3am (as scheduled). Around 6am we arrived at the border, while the process can be seen as extremely terrifying, Sophoan helped us with all the crossing procedures making it a smooth one. Once in Poipet Cambodia Sophoan and a driver drove us for about 2 hours in a luxury SUV to Siem Reap. During the ride he was very communicative and introduced us to what we where going to be visiting putting everything in context. The schedule ran exactly as Sophoan planned. Once in Angkor we had breakfast before the guided tour started, then visited the breathtaking temples we had on schedule, had lunch, and at 4pm we started our journey back to the border. Sophoan, as a certified Tour Guide, is very informative and precise with every historic detail he gave us. He took us to many temples in the Angkor Complex and took great pictures of us. He knows the right spots for the best photos. The driver always had cold bottled water for us in the car. Before heading back to the border, Sophoan took us to a restaurant for lunch (very nice cambodian and vietnamese food). Sophoan is a very professional, kind and attentive person. He walked us through the border back to Thailand and we arrived at our hotel in Bangkok at 10pm (as scheduled). All in all, It was a very safe experience (no security concerns). There aren't enough adjectives that can fairly describe how wonderful this experience was. The experience was worth every cent and more. Great value for the money we paid. Can't recommend enough. Thank you Sophoan for the amazing memories!

Great service and tour!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience using this tour company! I exchanged several emails back and forth with Sophoan prior to our trip. He was extremely prompt to reply and answered the millions of questions and scenarios that I asked for. I chose to use this company because of this. He did everything and informed me completely of everything that I needed, step by step how to do everything (from what I needed to cross the border, documents that I needed for customs, etc). After hearing about so many scams, I felt very comfortable using their company. Sim was our actual tour guide, and he was very passionate about Cambodia. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of our driver, but he did a great job too! My husband and I honeymooned in Thailand, and took a short overnight trip over to Cambodia. They did a great job hosting our stay from airport pickup to drop off the next day and everything in between. We went during Songkran (which I would not recommend, since everything was soooooo crowded) But knowing that we did not care for the huge crowds, Sim did a great job navigating us around all of the people (using back and side entrances, etc.) So we could see the sites, but not have to fight with the people to see them or get pictures. Sim was a great photographer too! He would always take my camera and pose us to get the best shots! It was very much appreciated!! He would even hold up large groups that were oblivious to the fact that we were taking pictures, and hold them out of our shot until we finished our picture. To me, that was amazing! :) He was extremely knowledgeable about his land and we learned so much! I would surely recommend them!

Amazing tour, amazing guide!

Amazingly great and super informative

I was supposed to go with Mr. Sophoan Rath on this trip, but sadly he had an urgent arrangement with his doctor. Truth to be told, I was a little upset at the beginning but it turned out to be fantastic at the end. I was told that his friend, who is a tour guide as well, will take care of me for the day. Unfortunately, I forgot his name, all I can remember is he wrote a book about Angkor Wat. Guess I don't have to explain how familiar he is with Angkor Wat and the history behind. I need to say a big thank you to him. I didn't have much time for Angkor Wat so I had to put everything in one day, sunrise, sunset and the most popular temples. He arranged an unusual route to me and spent a whole day from 4am till 6,7pm with me. That was a super intensive trip to me and I believe it was worse for him. Really appreciate what he did and the great arrangement of the tour. Ask Mr Sophoan Rath about him if you are looking for a professor of Angkor Wat.

Overnight trip to Angkor Wat from Bangkok

I found Mr Sophoan Rath's services on the internet. He arranged a driver to pick me up at my hotel in Bangkok and drive me three hours to the border. There I was turned over to a guy who helped me through immigration and customs into Cambodia. He turned me over to a second driver who drove me two more hours to Siem Reap where Mr. Rath was waiting at the hotel for me. He got me settled there and met me the next morning to take me to the temple ruins. He accompanied me through out and then drove me back to the border in the afternoon where we reversed the process. Everything went without a hitch. It was a wonderful experience and Mr. Rath is a very nice person. I would repeat this again if I had the opportunity.

We booked a Private Day Trip To and from Bangkok to Angkor Wat via the Poipet border in Cambodia on very short notice. Mr.Sophoan Rath was a very knowledgeable and professional guide. He arranged every detail of our trip from Bangkok, through immigration and customs at the Cambodian boarder. Mr. Rath was very flexible and planned the day to our preferences. We unknowingly booked this trip during the Cambodian New Year festivities thus busiest time of year at Angkor Wat. Despite this, Mr. Rath made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Private Tour of Angkor Vat on a Day Trip from Bangkok

Mr. Sophoan Rath is very professional and welcoming. He is prompt in pre-tour communication and gives very clear instructions. He made all the arrangements for my 3 am pick-up in my Bangkok hotel and greeted me on arrival at Siem Reap and then introduced me to Mr. Sim who is also very experienced and very pleasant. Mr Sim is very knowledgeable and has even written a book on Angkor Vat. Although I could only spend the day in Angkor Vat and Angkor Thom, Mr. SIm gave me a complete tour pointing out all the highlights and even the spots to take the ideal pictures. I safely returned to Bangkok by 10 pm the same day. I would highly recommend Mr. Sophoan Rath and Mr. Sim. I am definitely going to use him again when I return with my family.
