Testimony for my trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia from 18th-20th July 2010
This is to acknowledge that my friend and I have a memorable trip to Siem Reap visiting all the ancient monuments and traditional fishing villages. Our Cambodian English-speaking tour guide Mr RATH Sophoan has been very helpful in arranging all our tour requirements from the day he pick us up from the Siem Reap International Airport on 18th July 2010 till our departure from the Siem Reap Bus Station to Phnom Penh on 20th July 2010.
Mr Rath is very experienced, hospitable and flexible with our demands. He personally drive us around using his new and comfortable TOYOTA 4WD. He also provided chilled bottles of mineral water and umbrellas for our tour comfort during the hot and humid days. We really appreciate some of his friendly services as follows:
1. Pick up direct from Airport

3. Waiting for us during our dining, massaging and shopping activities
4. Walk and explain to us the various ancient tour venues
5. Explain to us various topics of the Cambodian history and geography
6. Plan our tour itinery to suit our tight schedules
7. Help to buy tickets to see the various ancient monument sites
8. Assist to take photographs for us at strategic locations
9. Arrange comfortable hotel rooms with reasonable rates
10. Arrange our breakfast, lunch and dinner to suit our likings and budgets
11. Provide valuable contacts for us in Phnom Penh
12. Arrange our comfortable coach trip to Phnom Penh

Dear Poan,
Having meeting u at Seam Reap is not a coincident, but rather a well informed one prior to our departure from Kuala Lumpur.
This crash itinery though is short ( 2 nites and 3 days), but with your untiring arrangement and very accomodating attitude, both me and Chop yap are indeed impressed and had enjoyed the true nature of Seam Reap in general and Angkor Wat in particular during our entire trip.
What I could say is well done Poan , and we shall return.

Trip Taken: Siem Reap July 15-18, 2010
I promised the best tour guide I ever had that I would write on his website. After 7 months, (sorry!) here I am!
Poan took my friend and I around Siem Reap to visit the Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm, etc and the trip exceeded both of our expectations!
I have to compliment Poan as our tour guide. He made the trip excellent by providing great stories! He was kind and very patient with us. He took care of everything. We just had to relax and enjoy the tour. He always had cold water for us when we returned hot and thirsty from sightseeing. We missed the balloon ride the first two days due to windy and thunderstorm like conditions. He made sure we got on the last day and perhaps we were lucky, we were the only ones on the balloon! That was very special! My friend wanted to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat, which was off the itinerary, but he still arranged it. We also had a "fun" time going to the floating village. The boat driver was careless and caused an incident that involved people getting wet... but Poan did the best he could in that situation. He is the best tour guide I ever had in my life, even better than the ones I had in Europe, Thailand, Beijing and Japan. He was flexible and he treated us like friends, even enjoying a couple of laughs himself!
Thanks again for a great time!

We toured Siem Reap area last March, a group of two families, 10 people all together, with kids in ages ranging from 10 to 25. Poan organized our whole trip, beginning with pickup from Bangkok and transportation to Siem Reap, 4 days of touring in the area, and transportation back to Bangkok. The organization was flawless!
We met Poan at the Cambodian border, and immediately connected with his warm and delightful personality. His stories and explanations were wonderful, and he skillfully managed to interest the entire group, from young to old. He took care of everything, leaving us to relax and enjoy - which we did! Poan went out of his way to make any request possible, and was very flexible.
He is indeed a wonderful person, and a very knowledgabnle guide. Highly recommended!

Meeting our guide Poan was a true honor; he is an educated, sensitive and kind man. His intricate knowledge of the history and art of Cambodia, skill as a guide, and willingness to share with us his experiences of life in modern-day Cambodia helped make our trip a real once-in-a-lifetime experience. My wife and I recommend him most highly.

We toured all over SE Asia and Poan was absolutely the best guide we had anywhere. His knowledge of the country (both historical and current) made the time with him both entertaining and educational. He was very accommodating and helpful with any requests we had.
Poan truly wants visitors to get the most out of their visit and he really goes out of his way to make it happen. We were well cared for at all times and recommend him highly.

Dear Poan,
Cambodia is truly an amazing country, and you are truly the best guide to have accomponied and taught me so much about your country. On my first trip, you showed us Angkor Wat Temple and other sites near Siem Reap. One year later I made my second trip any you took me to areas that are less frequented by tourists.Visits to the Village of Kompong Khleang near Lake Tonle Sap and the memorable Preah Vihear Temple will always bring a smile to my face. What truly makes Cambodia so special is the genuine friendliness and caring of the Khmer people.
Good luck and good fortune to you.
Your friend, Richard
