A wonderful guide

We have visited Cambodia twice, once to Angkor Wat and the second time to Phnom Penh. We are fascinated by this country with its remarkably preserved ancient history and its more recent sad and bizarre story. Each time our tours were managed by Saphoan (Poan) Rath. He is a personable, knowledgeable guide who helped us to understand this complex and beautiful place. We recommend his services whole heartedly.

I have spoken to countless of people about the kindness of Mr. Poan since the day I left Cambodia on mid July, 2011. The 5 days trip arranged by Mr. Poan was wondeful and relax. We have been not met Mr. Poan before the trip, he immediately took us under his wing just like his family, he treated my mom who just got out of emergency care the day before the trip with the most care and concern; he introduced my daugther to the history and culture of Cambodia with humors, he also showed my teen daughter the common life of Cambodians as much as he can, he has turned my teen daughter into a better persn without knowing it. I thank him for everything he did for my mom, my daughter and myself. We did not just visit Angorwat, we met many kind and sweet Cambodians, we appreciate everything Mr. Poan done for us, my teen daughter urges my husband to visit Cambodia next year again, we miss Mr. Poan already. Thank you, Mr. Poan. You made our trip unforgetable, you made Cambodian proud!

We had a wonderful time during our 3 day visit to Cambodia, in large part due to Poan. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and flexible, and has an excellent command of spoken and written English.

I knew that the packaged tours would not work for my family, because I planned to spend most of the 3 days thoroughly visiting every temple I could manage, while my wife and daughter had different priorities. They wished to see a few temples for a few hours, and then spend time seeing other cultural sites and shopping. Each day we developed a plan where my family would spend some time with me at the temples, and then Poan would take them other places while providing me walking directions to various nearby temples. Poan picked me up late in the day, after I had seen everything I could fit in. So I got my fill of temples while my family got the mix of different experiences they wanted.

I highly recommend Poan for your travels and sightseeing in Cambodia!

We spent one weekend in Siem Reap, under the care of Poan. It was a very nice experience. He is a friendly guy, his english is the best we ever heard from an Asian and he really knows a lot of everything in and around Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.

Amazing trip to Cambodia!

My friend and I spent 4 days in Cambodia visiting more than a handful of temples to gain a clear understanding of its rich history. Our tourguide, Sophoan Roth, was very knowledgable and informative which definitely helped make our trip a memorable one! One of the highlights of the trip was arriving at Angkor Wat before dawn to witness the amazing sunrise. We also visited Ta Phrom (the temple where Tomb Raider was filmed) and the Tonlé Sap floating village. It was an amazing trip and I'll definitely recommend Sophoan to my friends when they plan their trip to Cambodia!

An excellent guide

I have been to Cambodia twice, and Sophoan (Poan) Rath was my guide both times. He conducts himself very professionally. He was a great interpreter, and was very helpful in arranging for hotels and restaurants travel. The first time I came with a large group, and the second I came by myself-- he is an excellent guide for small and large groups.

The Best Part of SE Asia Trip

Angkor Wat Services made my visit to Cambodia the highlight of my 2 weeks in SE Asia. From the time I arrived at the airport until I left, I did not have to worry about anything, which felt very good as a single traveler. Although I only had 2 days, Angkor Wat Services arranged a thorough tour that showed me all the highlights and more. From spending all the first day at the temples to the second touring the countryside and seeing Cambodia life, the experience was so wonderful that I now tell everyone they have to go to Cambodia and use Angkor Wat Services.

Probably the most memorable place I've ever visited.

My girlfriend and I visited Siem Reap/Angkor Wat in February of 2011. We spent four days visiting this beautiful part of the world after having spent a week in Thailand. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this breathtaking area, take it! It will take your breath away!

I cannot say enough about our wonderful tour guide, Poan of Angkor Wat Services. This personable, soft-spoken man was a wealth of information. There are many temples available to visit, and Poan was very knowledgeable about all of them. He always made sure that we understood our agenda and was prompt when showing up at our hotel to pick us up in the morning. In addition to accompanying us on our trips to Ankgor Wat, Ankgor Thom, and other temples, he also took the time to stop along the trip back to meet with local residents to get a feel for the way they live their lives. Poan took a genuine interest in the way that we perceived his homeland. The pride that this man has in his country is obvious, and will leave you with a lasting impression of Cambodia. His natural curiosity was refreshing; he wanted to know as much about us as we did of Cambodia. He and I had several wonderful conversations about his family and his country

All in all, a beautiful country, wonderful guide and memories that will last a lifetime!

I have no words to express my greatest gratitude to Poan for the wonderful time I had exploring the most remote temples of the Khmer empire.

During the three-day tour I could get in touch not only with the architecture of Banteay Chhmar, Beng Mealea, Koh Ker and Preah Vihear, but also with people's beliefs and traditions, which, in the end, are what truly define the identity of Cambodia. Going up by foot to the temple of Preah Vihear is an experience that I highly recommend to anyone.

We were 3 friends travelling together from Mexico.

Puan picked us up at the airport, took us for sunset tour at Ankor and to the dance show at night. The next day he took us the whole day to Ankor and explained us the most important temples. He is a great great guide, very patient, very helpful, very respectful to what you are interested in.

I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!!! His English is very good and you can be sure you will have fun with him!!!

Mr. Poan was my tour guide in my first visit to Siem Reap almost 3 years ago. I recommended him to all my friends, business partners, etc whenever they go to Siem Reap. They all were very satisfied with his service because he is a very genter, soft-spoken and experienced tour guide. He will listen to your needs and requirements as well as to suit your travelling budget. He is no longer my tour guide but my friend.
