Two days in Cambodia
We visited Siem Reap as part of a holiday to Thailand and Cambodia in January / February 2012.
Anghor Wat and Anghor Thom City are amazing places and our visit to these and the floating village was made even more special by Saphoan Rath (Phoan),
From the moment he greeted us at the airport until we flew away again he provided the perfect knowledge and support needed to fully appreciate all that was around us but without ever rushing us or failing to give us time for our own thoughts.
To hear of his life in Cambodia, which is a truly remarkable story in itself, left us with a great feeling of respect and friendship towards him.
In retrospect, his country deserves far more attention than our two days gave and is on our 'Return To' list - hopefully to renew our acquaintance with Phoan and to see much more of Cambodia with him - his services are thoroughly recommended..

Best experience, lifetime memories. Poan excells himself as an excelent tour leader having everything flawlessly organized. Poan and Bopa's huge human abilities strenghtened our group's experience on Cambodia. I would definitly recommend Poan as tour guide without any doubts.

Thanks to Poan me and my friends spent a great time in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Angkor Temples. Everything perfectly arranged and organised. We heard from Poan a lot of interestings stories about Khmer's history and culture. Folowing our wish Poan also led us on the bike tours through the main and village roads arround Angkor what was very, very impressive.
Great job, great knowledge, great biking!

I spent 4 wonderful days in Siem Reap: Poan arranged a tailored tour, able to fit all my (difficult) requests. Overland trip from/to Bangkok, hotel booking, visit to Angkor temples, museums, floating village at Tonle Sap, everything was done in the best way.

Ho passato 4 giorni a Siem Reap: tour individuale organizzato via internet in modo da combaciare con esigenze di tempo piuttosto ristrette. Una volta giunto sul posto, Poang si è rivelato una guida professionale, qualificata, competente, in grado di soddisfare ogni richiesta. Decisamente consigliato.

More Than I Expected
We arranged our flight to Siem Reap and then relied on our guide, Saphoan Rath, for everything else. He booked us into great rooms in a wonderful small hotel (Golden Banana) and planned our itineraries for our days there. Poan's English is excellent and he was the most well-informed guide I have ever had the pleasure relying on. We saw everything, learned a lot, and always had a relaxing and pleasurable time. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute with our new good friend. Joe Austin

A WONDERFUL GUIDE
Sophan Rath was our guide in Siem Reap for Angkor Wat and the surrounding areas and temples. We were with him for 5 days. He was very informative and answered all of our questions. He was always helpful and kind. He was very helpful to me as I have to walk slowly due to a bad leg. He was the best guide I've had in years. He took us to many more places then we had expected and gave us experiences that I do not believe another guide would do. He was so easy to be with and a truly wonderful person. He was fabulous! I highly recommend him!

What have I been missing for all of these years?
Booked Angkor Wat Services through my local travel bureau in the U.S. I spent three exciting days with 'Poan' (my guide) visiting ancient temples, eating authentic and delicious Khmer food, climbed a mountain to see a gorgeous sunset, and watched the sun rise over one of the most beautiful temples on the planet not to mention, making new, lovely Cambodian friends and family who will be part of my life always. Have never had such a fulfilling trip and have returned often just to visit a particular temple that I missed the first time around. Honest and reliable and all packaged with that world famous Cambodian hospitality and generosity of spirit.

A Wonderful Experience with Poan
In regard to, Sophoan Roth, known to his friends as Poan--and you will be his friend if you utilize his wonderful services. He is knowledgeable and solicitous in taking you to all the places you want to see. He knows when to take charge and when to relent. He can steer you to the best places and away from the not so worthwhile. I paid 1/3 the normal rate at the hotel he procured and it was a lovely hotel. His service even included having a lady from his staff meet us at the central market so that she could help me get better prices than I could have gotten on my own. He also was gracious enough to invite me to his home where I first met his wife and two charming children. It was very interesting to see an authentic Cambodian home. It gave one a good sense of the values and priorities of a Cambodian. One could not wish for a better experience. Don't even think of doing Cambodia without Poan!
